Very first Volunteer Fair at CAS connecting students to community involvement opportunities

On Thursday, May 22nd, Cummins Area School organized a Volunteer Fair in honor of National Volunteering Week.

The event was orchestrated by Susie Hansen to recognize the remarkable contributions of our local volunteers and to foster connections with the youth in our community.

The goal was to create an environment where volunteer groups can attract interested young individuals from the Cummins area.

Some of the community groups in attendance were: SA Ambulance, Cummins District Enterprise Committee, Cummins Mosaics, Army Reserves, Christmas Wonderland, etc.

Additionally, Cummins Area School is currently participating in the SVA Service Award pilot program coordinated by Volunteering SA&NT. This initiative acknowledges and celebrates the volunteering efforts of young people by offering a website/app where students can log their volunteer hours. Students receive commemorative badges upon reaching significant milestones, and all volunteer hours completed with your organization will contribute to this achievement.
