Cummins Area School currently has a casual bus driver position available.
Responsibilities:
Safely drive the school bus using judgement and care in response to the road, weather and driving conditions.
Ensure the safety of students and other approved passengers, whilst they enter, exit and travel on the school bus, which includes assisting students and other approved passengers with disabilities (where applicable) to get on and off the bus, as well as monitoring the general behaviour of students.
Follow an approved route to pick up and transport school children and approved passengers.’
Obey the Speed limit and all road laws, rules, and regulations at all times.
Conduct a full bus inspection at the end of each trip/journey to ensure No student remains on the bus.
Complete a pre-journey checklist before and after each journey
Maintain a clean and sanitary bus ( Inside and out) at all times.
Deliver the school bus to the servicing garage to undertake maintenance inspections.
Contribute to maintaining a healthy work environment by taking personal accountability by identifying and reports incidents, hazards and injuries in accordant with Department for Education policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of MR South Australian Driver’s License
Minimum DIT Large Passenger Driver Accreditation.
Working with Children Check
National Police Clearance
Be an up standing citizen with good morals.
