Eyre Shines with Swimming Carnival Victory

On Friday, 13 February (Week 3), Cummins Area School held its Swimming Carnival for the first time in two years. Following a full redevelopment, the pool looked pristine, and the day was a fantastic celebration of school spirit. Congratulations to the Cummins Pool Committee for their tireless work in providing the community with such outstanding facilities.
Congratulations to Eyre House, who claimed overall victory and were awarded the Yvonne Majoor Shield.

1st – Eyre: 1263 points
2nd – Sturt: 1174 points
3rd – Flinders: 1009 points
A special mention goes to Braden Holley, who broke the Open Boys Backstroke record. The previous record of 15.91 seconds, jointly held by Braden himself and Kieran Stephens, was surpassed with an impressive new time of 15.57 seconds, shaving off 0.34 seconds.

The dedicated CAS staff, who arrived early for set-up, performed duties without breaks and stayed for pack-up

Our Year 12 students, who arrived early to help and worked together to make their final swimming carnival a memorable one — floaties and all!
