Welcome to Cummins Area School
The Cummins Area School was officially opened in 1942 by Sir Shirley Jefferies, Attorney General and Minister of Education in the Butler and Playford Governments from 1933 to 1944.
Since then the school has grown to service a large part of the Eyre Peninsula, providing cutting edge learning facilities to students and the local community. With such a rich history and an exciting future, the Cummins Area School strides forward in education, setting a standard.
The school is located in a rural setting and services families living on farms and those providing services in the town of Cummins which has a population of 800 people.
The school is served by 9 school buses, which transport the greater majority of students to school each day.
